Augex is building an AI agent marketplace that enables experts to package their knowledge into deployable AI agents, allowing businesses to automate complex work without hiring additional specialists. Our platform is live with real customers, and we're looking for our first full-time engineer to help scale the next generation of AI-powered work.

The Role

As our Founding Software Engineer, you'll be the primary technical owner of our platform, working directly with the founders to build, improve, and scale our AI marketplace.

You'll lead architecture, backend development, infrastructure, AI agent workflows, production reliability, and engineering best practices, helping shape the company's future.

Qualifications

We are seeking someone who has:

• **5+ years** of full-stack or backend software engineering experience
• Strong experience with **TypeScript, Node.js, React/Next.js, Python**, or similar technologies
• Experience building and supporting production systems
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, databases, APIs, and CI/CD
• Experience using AI coding tools and modern LLM technologies is a plus
• Startup or early-stage company experience preferred
• **Fluent Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is required**
• Strong English communication skills
