Our Toronto based team is responsible for site closure execution and the operation of our North American Legacy Assets, overseeing Glencore’s 100-year legacy of mining, and associated post-closure assets in North America.
The Role In a Nutshell
In this role, you’ll support the financial management of the closed sites group through month-end accounting, financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting/forecasting activities, helping ensure accurate reporting and informed decision-making across the portfolio. More Specifically, You Will Be Expected To

• Assist with financial data preparation and uploads to consolidation systems, with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role in the month-end process.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting, including month-end close activities (journal entries, reconciliations, tax reports, and bank reconciliations), and produce variance analysis for senior management.
• Perform financial analysis to support business planning, including evaluating project/initiative viability and providing recommendations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including annual budgets, monthly reforecasts, and analysis of submissions from site teams.
• Produce financial and operational reporting to support decision-making and monitor performance trends.
