What You'll Do


Avalara is looking for an Executive Assistant to support C-Suite leadership within our Technology, Product, and Strategy organizations. You will have a variety of creative, coordination, and administrative responsibilities while serving as a trusted partner to executive leadership. Reporting to the Manager of Executive Assistants, this role is ideal for a, proactive professional who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and creating structure amidst competing priorities.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • You will manage complex executive calendars, priorities, and communications
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, offsite events, travel, and other executive activities from planning through execution.
  • Prepare executives for meetings by coordinating agendas, materials, logistics, and follow-up actions.
  • Build trusted relationships across the organization while serving as a primary contact for executive team members.
  • Support priorities through presentations, expense management, and other administrative activities.
  • Support special projects and projects by coordinating stakeholders, timelines, communications, and action items.
  • You will partner with CoS on executive operating rhythms, including staff meetings, leadership reviews, and planning processes.
  • Develop an understanding of Avalara's technology, AI automation, products, and priorities while identifying opportunities to improve processes and team effectiveness.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

  • 5+ years of professional experience supporting senior leaders or executives.
  • Experience managing executive calendars, travel, meetings,
  • Organizational skills and able to work across all levels of the organization.
