Electrical Project Manager

Location: Chicago, IL

We are partnering with a well-established electrical contractor in the Chicago area that is looking to add an experienced Electrical Project Manager to its team.

This individual will be responsible for managing electrical construction projects from preconstruction through completion, working closely with field leadership, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout

• Oversee project budgets, schedules, forecasting, procurement, and cost control

• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation

• Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams to drive project execution

• Maintain strong communication with clients, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors

• Monitor project financial performance and identify potential risks or cost impacts

• Assist with manpower planning, material procurement, and overall project strategy

• Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on schedule, budget, and progress

• Ensure projects meet company safety, quality, and performance standards

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in electrical construction

• Previous experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or similar project leadership role

• Strong understanding of commercial and/or industrial electrical systems

• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, and change orders

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment

• Experience with large-scale commercial, industrial, healthcare, mission critical, or data center projects is a plus
