JOB TITLE: Data Analyst II FLSA STATUS: Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Data & Analytics
REPORTS TO: Manager, Data & Analytics
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing moderate level technical, analytical, and reporting support for the Claims, Provider, Finance, Enrollment, and Utilization Management departments programs and reporting needs. Manages assigned reporting projects to ensure that data and analysis requests are completed timely, accurately while presented in a way that meets the needs of the requesting department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform moderate level data analysis and reporting by conducting detailed exercise timely and accurate reporting techniques and/or develops new or modifies existing reports that ensure consistent results and analysis
- Use analytical skills to determine solutions and resolve problems and automate when appropriate.
- Work with requestors to determine needs and objectives, document and identify the correct methodology for extracting data including data sources and criteria, and ensuring the delivered report is accurate, timely, and formatted appropriately.
- Manage assigned projects and effectively communicate with the requestor and leadership team any project roadblocks that may jeopardize deadlines in advance of due dates..
- Responsible for understanding the various data sources available at Imperial.
- Document all coding/analysis/reporting projects following established protocols to ensure transparency and repeatability.
- Collaborates and maintains effective working relationships with management, internal departments, and external vendors.
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance.
- Adheres to Compliance Plan and HIPAA regulations.
