POSITION PURPOSE


Under the supervision and management of the Controller, the Property Management Staff Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions required to enter all receivables, process payables and produce monthly financial statements for our multifamily property portfolio.


Accuracy and timeliness in the completion of the workload is required in this position. Strong communication skills, good work ethic, analytical thinking, and at least 5 years of experience are required. Experience in the real estate development and/ or property management field is required.


Position Responsibilities
**Operations Management:**

• Process Security Deposit Dispositions as needed
• Review income registers for residents and commercial tenants for late fee posting, NSF charges and payment information
• Assist with monthly or quarterly owner funds disbursements
• Reconcile various bank and financial accounts with vendors, credit companies and various others
• Facilitate and provide input for annual budgeting and prepare reforecasting
• Attend various property management meetings
• Assist with Asset Management tasks as requested
• Approve accounts payable invoice coding, amount, and source funds
• Discuss payments with Residents via phone or email and answer rent & payment-related questions
