Limn Risk Advisors is an independent commercial insurance agency. We’re appointed with a number of carriers and serve all industries. We’re a small team that’s growing, and you’ll work directly with ownership.

The role

You’ll own commercial accounts from the first prospect conversation to bound coverage, and then keep growing them. The job combines technical account management, carrier marketing, and consultative sales.

This is not a cold-prospecting producer role
. Leads come from inbound, referrals, and ownership. Your job is to turn them into well-placed, well-serviced clients. It’s a good fit for an Account Manager or Account Executive who enjoys both the coverage work and the client conversations.

What you’ll do

• Be the main contact for commercial prospects and your assigned book
• Gather exposure, loss history, and underwriting information, then build complete, accurate submissions
• Match accounts to the right carriers by appetite, market them across standard and E&S markets, and keep after underwriters
• Compare quotes on terms, exclusions, limits, deductibles, and premium, and negotiate coverage and pricing
• Build proposals, present recommendations, and ask for the business
• Coordinate binders, applications, signatures, and premium finance through implementation
• Manage renewals and remarketing, using pre-renewal reviews to catch exposure changes and coverage gaps
• Round out accounts and cross-sell (property, GL, auto, WC, umbrella, cyber, EPLI, and more)
• Build lasting relationships with underwriters and carrier reps to keep markets open
• Keep clean, complete documentation in our AMS and follow compliance and E&O procedures
