## About the Role

Synchron is seeking a Backend / Cloud Engineer to help build and scale the backend systems supporting our brain-computer interface platform.

This role focuses on developing services and data systems that power clinical applications, neuroscience workflows, and internal tools used in research and production environments.

You will work across backend services, cloud infrastructure, and data pipelines to improve system reliability, enable new features, and support collaboration between engineering and data science teams.

This is an opportunity to work on systems that directly support real-world clinical applications while helping bridge the gap between research and production software.

## Key Responsibilities

### Backend Development

• Design and build backend services and APIs supporting internal applications and tools
• Develop systems that connect **desktop applications, device workflows, neuroscience analysis tooling, and cloud infrastructure**
• Improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability
