This role ensures compliance with NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and Department of Defense Impact Level (IL) 2, 4, and 5 security policies across enterprise cloud systems.

Job Description
- The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud security frameworks that protect systems, applications, and data in AWS and Microsoft Azure environments. This includes applying security controls aligned with NIST, FedRAMP, and DoD standards, configuring identity and access management (IAM) solutions, and supporting continuous monitoring and compliance reporting.
- The role involves implementing zero-trust security architectures, integrating cloud-native security services, and deploying security monitoring solutions such as SIEM platforms to detect, analyze, and respond to security events. The engineer will conduct vulnerability assessments, support remediation efforts, and ensure secure configuration of cloud resources.
- Additional responsibilities include collaborating with cloud engineers, DevSecOps teams, compliance personnel, and program stakeholders to ensure security requirements are embedded throughout the system lifecycle and that cloud environments remain compliant, auditable, and resilient.
Required Qualifications and Experience
The contractor shall provide personnel who meet one of the following requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related discipline; **or**
- A minimum of five (5) years of equivalent professional experience in cloud security engineering.
