About this role

Reporting to the Director of Claims, the Claims Operations Manager is responsible for managing all non-technical aspects of operations for Fortegra’s UK and European Specialty Claims department. The Claims Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the onboarding and oversight of claims third-party administrators, law firms and other claims partners appointed by Fortegra in the management of claims. The Claims Operations Manager will maintain policies and procedures for the department, monitor the quality and efficiency of claims service, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and problem solver with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Degree or closely related field or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in a Claims Operations role with exposure to specialty insurances such as Property, Casualty and Financial Lines.
  • Experience of delegated claims, including TPA and relationship management.
  • Operational skills, including both business process and systems.
  • CII qualifications or a willingness to work towards obtaining CII qualifications (or equivalent) preferred.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Leading the non-technical aspects of operations for Fortegra’s UK and European Specialty Claims department.
  • Overseeing the onboarding of new TPAs and claims partners through Fortegra’s due diligence process.
  • Supporting the management of existing claims partners appointed by Fortegra including contract renewal, bordereau management, Loss Fund management and claims audits.
  • Supporting with operational tasks for the claims department, including the documentation and development of the department’s processes and procedures.
  • Managing claims projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
