Cloud DevOps Engineer

BTS is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer where you'll play a pivotal role in developing the policy, strategy and best practices for the Coast Guards Cloud Architecture.

Security Clearance: SECRET

Location: 90% Remote with some travel to San Diego, CA, Key West, FL and WV

Responsibilities

• Responsible for understanding, developing and documenting the migration plan for the Coast Guard Cloud architecture IAW DOW and Coast Guard policies and procedures.
• Provide input to the Cloud Architecture implementation plan. Ensure the plan is scalable, reproducible, meets continuous integration and deployability requirements and outlines industry best practices for security (identity and access management, encryption, and vulnerability scanning.
• Collaborate with cloud software engineers, the Cloud Architect, the training Lead on governance to identify gaps in the plans.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the cloud migration plan, identifying opportunities for improvement to include but not limited to all aspects of cloud infrastructure design, build, and scalability.

Skills/Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in software engineering experience, cloud platforms, automation & CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, security and compliance.
• Strong understanding of cloud development, migrations, security standards, frameworks, methodologies and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to identify planning gaps, identify solutions and implement changes.
• Ability to work with a cross functional team to meet deliverables.

Pay Range: $200,000 to $225,000 full Salary range lowest to highest across locations
