STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for a wide variety of financial, analytical, and accounting related tasks for Bob Evans Restaurants. This position is also responsible for performing routine reporting as well as ad hoc financial analyses.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supports the various functions of the business with a series of weekly/monthly reporting on sales, profitability, and cost controls. Constantly seeks opportunities to improve visibility for functional business departments, as well as improve reporting and analysis process efficiencies.
• Supports senior management with a wide variety of financial analyses and reporting, both ad hoc and routine. Performs analysis of specific projects (i.e. prepares detail of work plan and schedule, completes detailed analysis and research, identifies options, prepares reports for management, and recommends action or change).
• Participates in the review and analysis of completed operating budgets and forecast (i.e., prepares detailed analysis of specific budget accounts, recommends changes and assists in organization and presentation of budget issues).
