About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead AI/ML Engineer to join our Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Engineering team within Optum Insight. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning and generative AI solutions that directly impact healthcare providers, payers, and members. You will drive end-to-end AI projects, from conceptualization and architecture design to implementation and operationalization, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient systems. Your expertise will help improve clinical decision-making, optimize healthcare operations, and contribute to innovative healthcare solutions that make a meaningful difference in people's lives. This position offers flexibility to work remotely across the United States, with in-office requirements for candidates in Minneapolis or Washington, D.C.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• 10+ years of professional or academic experience in machine learning or related disciplines
• 5+ years of experience developing models for business applications
