Hyra is working on behalf of MassMutual to hire for the position of Lead AI Engineer. This role focuses on the design and deployment of advanced AI solutions, specifically utilizing generative AI and large language models to drive business transformation. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of experts to solve high-value problems across the enterprise.

What you'll be doing

• Architect end-to-end AI solutions using LLMs, deep learning, and probabilistic modeling.

• Deploy scalable GenAI and Agentic AI systems that support enterprise business goals.

• Establish best practices in AI development and ensure responsible AI deployment.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to build production-grade AI pipelines and APIs.

• Mentor junior talent and communicate technical insights to senior leadership.

What we're looking for

• 7 or more years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI engineering.

• M.S. or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science or Applied Mathematics.

• Deep expertise in NLP, optimization, and testing LLM behavior across foundation models.

• Advanced Python programming skills and proficiency in SQL and database design.

• Proven experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as MLflow or llama-index.
